Former Huddersfield winger David Hodgson returned to haunt his old club with a brace of tries as Hull KR completed a notable Stobart Super League double over a Giants side in freefall with a 44-26 win at the Galpharm Stadium.
Scrum-half Michael Dobson also scored two tries, in addition to kicking eight goals for a 24-point haul, as the in-form Robins cantered to a fourth consecutive win while condemning Huddersfield to a fifth successive league defeat. Kris Welham, Ben Galea and Craig Hall also crossed over for the away side.
Huddersfield led 12-6 thanks largely to significant contributions from their England trio of Danny Brough (three goals), Leroy Cudjoe and Eorl Crabtree. But the Robins were quick to seize on another woeful defensive performance from Nathan Brown's men and only late tries from Aaron Murphy (2) and Larne Patrick spared them a humiliating scoreline.
Huddersfield had no answer to the kicking of Dobson, who was forced to take even more responsibility in the absence of fellow playmaker Blake Green, and he had a hand in most of his side's seven tries.
