Reds reclaim top after stalemate

West Ham claimed their first point at Anfield for nine years as Liverpool took over at the top of the Barclays Premier League following the goalless draw.

But this was the second time in 10 days that Liverpool had been held to a goalless draw at home by a London club, seriously handicapping their desire to impress themselves on the title race.

West Ham's former Liverpool man Craig Bellamy came closest to a goal when his 30-yard strike hit a post.
