Two victories in a week for Bowls club

MILL Bowls Club were toasting two victories this week.

W Barrows, M West and T Jones led the way with a 25-7 win as they eased past Swakeleys 81-54.

There were also triumphs for B Seabridge, K Worboys and R Burch (19-18), and E Toms, D Sharpe and P Darius (22-6).

C Mason, M Hulbert and L Barrows (23-15) suffered their only defeat, but it couldn't stop them running out comfortable winners overall. They also claimed bragging rights over Ruislip with a 109-76 victory, losing just one of the five rinks.

Seabridge, R Kittel and West teamed up to win 25-12, while Sharpe, Worboys and L Barrows came home with a hard-fought 18-15 triumph. D Garside, R Burch and Jones (26-8) joined forces to record the biggest win, while M Hulbert, W Barrows and S Perrin edged a thriller 29-26.

Mason, G Gibson and Darius' 15-11 defeat denied them of a clean sweep.

RON Dunkley, Michael Webber and Brenda Connor top-scored as Cowley cruised to a comfortable win against Hayes on Saturday.

Eileen Maylin, Ron Connor and Don Maylin (24-11) and Joyce O'Connor, Pat Houghton and Den Gorman (21-15) also won. Charlie Houghton, Dawn Rooks and Doreen Heath lost 15-12, but it couldn't stop Cowley running out 81-58 winners.
