DIVISION THREE: Uxbridge 190-7 (4pts) drew with Enfield 99-9 (1pt)
A hat-trick from Graham Lines came so close to bowling Uxbridge to a stunning victory over league leaders Enfield but in the end the home side had to settle for a draw and four points.
A target of 191 had long gone by the wayside once the visitors slipped from 52 for two to 93 for five and then Lines weaved his spell.
First he had Antony Higgs (11) caught by Abrar Dar, Nick Jackson (0) was stumped by Nick Hardy and then Lee Robertson was caught by Tony Stephens to give the spinner his treble, on his way to four for 21 from 12 overs.
Steven Wright (2-28) removed the stubborn Chris Barrell (30 off 100 balls) to leave Enfield flirting with defeat on 99 for nine, but the last pair saw out the final few deliveries to deny Uxbridge a victory that would have taken them to within one point of first place.
Ryan Connor (2-27) did the early damage with Wright.
Earlier, Uxbridge lost Andre Jason (2) after being put into bat but contributions from Hardy (32) and Bal Mangat (31) got them back on track.
There was work to do at 107 for six but Ryan Connor (18) and then Andrew Stephens (21 not out) gave excellent support to Tony Stephens, who topscored with a vital 51 not out from 58 balls including two sixes. After being put into bat on a wet wicket, Uxbridge made 225 all out with the key contributions coming from Tyrone Porter, who hit a half century,Sunny Sandhu (40) and Zabi Maqsoodi (36), while Patrick Harper (24) and Osama Alam (22 not out) did their bit down the order.
Uxbridge, who currently occupy the second promotion place, were poised to move 22 points clear of third placed Acton when they had Ickenham nine down with 10 overs to play, but the opposition valiantly kept them at bay.
Neil White (4-29 from 14 overs) and Osama Alam (2-32 from 11), who bowled well in his first game for the club, led the way with the ball while Mike Darvill, Peter Parfitt and Tom Drinkwater claimed one wicket each.
