Woods go down to Stevenage

Northwood went down 3-1 against Blue Square Conference Premier side Stevenage Borough at Chestnut Avenue last night (Thursday).

Colin Payne's side took the lead in the 49th through Adrian Abramian but Craig Westcarr put Borough on level terms nine minutes later.

Stevenage went ahead on 71 minutes when Jerome Anderson's cross found its way into the net and one of the Conference promotion favourites wrapped up the game when defender Lawrie Wilson scored a well worked goal in the 79th minute.

Woods continue their pre-season preperations with a match against Harefield United tomorrow (Saturday) at Chestnut Avenue, kick off 3pm.
