QPR beaten at Church Road

Hayes and Yeading United kicked off their pre-season friendlies at Church Road in style with a 2-1 win over a QPR XI.

Before a crowd of more than 500 a youthful Rangers side took the lead on 52 minutes through Christian Nanetti but goals from Dan Mehmet (78 minutes) and Kieran Knight (85) clinched victory for Garry Haylock's side in what proved a useful workout.

United play a Wycombe Wanderers XI at Church Road on Tuesday evening (July 29) with a 7.54pm kick off.
