Strauss to miss Twenty20 match

Middlesex will be without England opener Andrew Strauss for the Twenty20 Cup semi-final against Durham at Hampshire's Rose Bowl on Saturday.

Strauss has been asked to rest ahead of England's third Test with South Africa which starts on July 30.

Middlesex spent the whole of the second day of their County Championship match at Lord’s yesterday (Wednesday) in the field, with Worcestershire gaining a lead 50 runs with one first innings wicket intact.

Ben Smith top scored for Worcestershire with 93 while Danny Evans (3-77) was the most successful Middlesex bowler as the visitors finished the day on 350 for 9 in reply to Middlesex's first innings total of 300 all out.
