Uxbridge rain ends Middlesex hopes

Rain denied Middlesex the chance of victory as their County Championship game with Northants at Park Road, Uxbridge, ended in a draw.

Three quick wickets left Northants in trouble at 33-3 but then Lance Klusener (94 not out) and David Sales (48) put on 148 for the fourth wicket.

With 32 overs lost to rain in the afternoon the match ended early in a draw with Northants on 176-3.
