JULIA Bleasdale bagged her second personal best time at London 2012 to qualify for the 5,000m Olympic final.
The Hillingdon runner recorded a time of 15 minutes and two seconds to see her finish fourth in her heat and secure automatic qualification for Friday night’s final.
Bleasdale said: “I saw the first heat was very fast and I knew I had to be in the mix and be ready for any moves – I had to treat it as a final.”
It is Bleasdale's second PB of these Olympic Games after she ran 30:55.63 in the 10,000m final last week. She finished eighth in that event.
