HAYES & Yeading manager Nas Bashir has shown the door to Australian twins Adam & Kym Harris.
The duo had been training at Kingfield for around 10 weeks before being granted international clearance to pull on the red shirt earlier this month.
It had been hoped that the boys from down under, whose English parents emigrated to Australia but passed on their love of football, would add depth to the United squad.
But it would appear that the return of Luke Williams and impending comeback of Jerome Anderson have given Bashir alternatives and the boss has wielded the axe.
He said: “We’ve got Jerome Anderson and Luke Williams that we’ve missed as those types of players have got a cutting edge. At the moment, looking at the squad, we’re hopefully moving in the right direction."
“We’re always looking at bringing people in and always looking at players who can help us with our needs. That said though, with a few people coming back from injury now, they’ll gain some games and we’ll see what they can do and if they take their chance.”
Hayes & Yeading travel to play-off chasers Chelmsford City on Saturday.
