U13s Herts/Middlesex 3
Ruislip U13s A started their Herts/Middlesex Junior League Campaign off with a thrilling draw against local rivals Harrow.
In a match that highlighted the attacking ability of both teams, Ruislip started strongly only to be pegged back by their counterparts.
Falling further behind following the break, Ruislip needed a great deal of composure to pull themselves level.
And at the end the away side could count themselves unlucky, having camped themselves in their opponents 22, only to walk away with a draw.
Ruislip cruised into an early 10-0 lead as they scored two unconverted tries through Jonathan Phillips and Michael de Jager.
However, Harrow responded with two tries and a conversion of their own, to take a 12-10 lead heading into the break.
The second half began much like the first half had ended for Ruislip, as they conceded their third try of the match.
However, Ruislip remained confident in their ability and responded swiftly with a converted try, as Phillips went over for his second of the match.
Their joy was short lived, as Harrow once again scored to maintain their lead. Ruislip persevered and got their deserved reward as Tom Dawson levelled the scores with a converted try.
With the clock showing full time, and Ruislip deep in their opponents 22, the team had one last chance to go over the line, but the forward drive was held up.
