HILLINGDON's Michael Sharkey has had a rough ride to start his Paralympics campaign as part of ParalympicsGB's men's goalball team.
The side have begun their campaign on the wrong ends of heavy losses to Lithuania and Turkey, and things do not look like improving with other strong opponents to come.
Things started badly yesterday (August 30) with a ten-goal thrashing at the hands of Lithuania, 11–1.
And a second thumping today, 7–1 to Turkey, leaves GB right at the bottom of their group with matches against Sweden, Finland and Brazil to come.
Sharkey's sister Anna, part of ParalympicsGB's women's goalball team, also got off to a bad start with a 7–1 loss to China, but recovered in their second match to draw against Finland.
