HAYES and Yeading boss Nas Bashir believes that Fraser Franks will put his testing debut behind him and prove to be a great signing.
The AFC Wimbledon defender endured a tough first 45 minutes on Saturday after signing on loan from Dons as Hayes and Yeading were 3-0 down at home to Gateshead.
But Bashir is convinced that Franks, who is on the comeback after six months out with a knee injury, will go on to prove his quality.
"He looks to be a good acquisition for us," said Bashir. "We had him watched and have had good feedback on him. He thinks that the third goal was down to him and that he should have got in front of his man and cleared it.
"But overall I thought that he did well. He was solid and will add to what we are doing here. He has had a couple of games for the reserves, but considering it was his first proper game for a while, he did well.
"It was a shame that we were so bad in the first-half and it would have been nice for him to have come into a team playing the way that we did in the second-half."
