MIDDLESEX wrapped up a 10-wicket victory over Leicestershire before lunch on day four at Lord's today following a fine bowling display from Toby Roland-Jones.
Leicestershire resumed play five runs ahead and with three second innings wicket in hand, at 308-7, but before long they were 315-8 when Jigar Naik was caught by Dawid Malan off Tim Murtagh.
A spell of resistance was broken when John Simpson caught Nathan Buck off Roland-Jones, reducing Leicestershire to 335-9, and their innings were over minutes later when Roland-Jones clean bowled last man James Taylor, finishing on 338-10.
That left Middlesex needing just 35 runs for victory and most of the day to get them in, but Chris Rogers and Andrew Strauss were in no mood to hang around.
After barely half an hour at the crease, the duo had the game wrapped up, Rogers striking 17 and Strauss 13 – Middlesex winning on a no ball and finishing their second innings on 36-0.
