GARRY Haylock has received a glowing tribute for saving Hayes & Yeading from relegation from AFC Wimbledon boss Terry Brown.
The United manager led the club to a 16th place finish in the Blue Square Bet Premier – five points clear of the drop zone.
And former Hayes boss Brown, who will manage a Hayes FC All Stars XI in the final match at Church Road on Sunday May 15, was full of praise for the Yorkshireman.
Brown said: "Garry is a very good manager and I am delighted that he managed to keep them up.
"They have always punched above their weight with one of the lowest budgets in the league and the lowest gates.
"They never cease to surprise me and I have never been back there and won as a manager."
