uxbridge college flashmob
SURPRISED shoppers in Hayes Town were stopped in their tracks by an on-street 'flashmob' performance.
Performing arts students from Uxbridge College in Hayes brightened up a rainy afternoon by breaking into song and dance at the town centre's bandstand, in Station Road, Hayes, at 1pm on the dot last Thursday.
Onlookers took pictures and sang along as the teenagers belted out a impromptu rendition of 'Fame', the timeless theme to the hit 80s TV series and film of the same name.
The drama students were led by Rachel Lane, the college's Performing Arts section manager, who said: "We hope this event will give people a flavour of what [our] talented and creative young people can do."
Uxbridge College in Hayes, in College Way off Coldharbour Lane, offers vocational courses in dance, music, drama, production arts, hairdressing, beauty therapy and more. The campus is having an open day on March 20, 3-7pm.
