Tributes to former Bishopshalt School soldier

A 20 YEAR old former Bishopshalt schoolboy turned soldier died at his army barracks in Northern Ireland on Sunday morning.

Darren Mitchell was found dead at the Abercorn Barracks in Ballykilner, Northern Ireland.

A Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesman said: We were alerted to the death of a 20 year old man on Sunday.

"We are not treating the death as suspicious.

On Twitter, friends were posting tributes on Tuesday afternoon. Zoe Watts wrote: " R.I.P Darren MItchell [our] hero! Sweet dreams and god bless."

And Mike Carter posted: "Rest in peace Darren Mitchell, was always a pleasure. Find happiness up there dude."
