A WOMAN from Hayes has become the fourth person to be charged in connection with an attack on a retired Indian Army officer.
Harjit Kaur, 38, has been charged with wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm in relation to an alleged ambush on Lieutenant General Kuldip Singh Brar near Marble Arch, central London, on September 30 last year.
Mr Brar, 78, was knifed in the neck during the attack, but survived.
Kaur appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday last week. She was remanded in custody, and will have a plea and case management hearing at Southwark Crown Court on Friday, February 22.
Mandeep Singh Sandhu, 34, of Great Barr, Birmingham, and Dilbag Singh, 36, of no fixed address, have denied GBH wounding with intent, and will stand trial at Southwark Crown Court on April 2.
Barjinder Singh Sangha, 33, of Wolverhampton, has admitted to the same charge, but denied assaulting Mr Brar's wife, Meena.
He will be sentenced after the trial of his co-accused.
