POLICE want the public's help locating an elderly man with dementia who has gone missing.
Michael Hewitt, 76, left his home in Hayes at around 5.30am today (Monday), but has not been since.
Mr Hewitt's wife, and police are growing concerned for his safety and welfare.
He is around six feet tall and of medium build, with thinning grey hair. He is believed to be wearing gold rimmed glasses, black slip-on shoes, blue denim jeans, and a blue bomber jacket with a blue top underneath.
Mr Hewitt suffers from dementia and may appear confused, and he has difficulty communicating with people. He is known to travel on foot in Hayes, and may have travelled up to the Uxbridge area.
DI Stephen O'Connor of Hillingdon CID said: "I appeal to the public to assist us in tracing him. Anyone who has seen Michael or has any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Hillingdon police without delay."
