THE Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the River Pinn and Woodridings Stream running through Pinner, Eastcote, Ruislip, Ickenham, Uxbridge and Yiewsley.
Due to heavy, prolonged rainfall overnight, river levels on the Pinn have been rising.
The Environment Agency released this information earlier this morning: "The river is expected to continue rising slowly throughout the day resulting in flooding lower lying land, roads and gardens next to the river. Surface water flooding can also be expected in some locations.
"No property flooding is expected at this stage. The weather forecast is for the rain to ease early this morning, but further showers will continue to affect some areas throughout the day until around 9pm this evening.
"Overnight tonight there may be some further light rain. We will continue to monitor the situation. This information will be updated this afternoon."

At 4.30pm today (Thursday) the Environment Agency released this information:
"The River remains high and out of banks in places, in response to the rainfall received overnight last night and during today.
"The river is now starting to level off and should slowly start to fall. Some further light showers will continue to pass through the area into this evening, but these are not expected to cause river levels to rise.
"Surface water flooding may remain a problem in some locations.
"We will continue to monitor the situation."
