THE boy hurt in a traffic collision in Hayes on Tuesday is said to be out of danger.
He is still receiving treatment in a central London hospital. The driver of the vehicle was arrested, taken to Uxbridge police station in Warwick Place and later bailed.
Police were called at 7.10pm to reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian in Uxbridge Road near the junction with Springfield Road in Hayes.
The London Ambulance Service also attended the scene, and a 16 year old boy was taken to a central London hospital suffering head injuries and in a serious condition.
His condition was described late on Wednesday as slightly less serious but with life-changing injuries.
Police were unable to say if he lived locally, but his family has been told.
