TWO emergency vehicles were themselves caught up in road crashes last week.
Ambulance and police officers were called to an accident in Harvil Road, Ickenham involving another ambulance on Friday last week.
Two vehicles had been in collision at about 11.40am. One was a private ambulance but the company or organisation it belonged to is not known.
Two women were treated at the scene, for shock and a back injury, and taken by road to Hillingdon Hospital. It is not known in which vehicles they had been travelling.
And just days before, a fire engine went through the front wall of a house in Field End Road, Eastcote.
London Ambulance Service (LAS) said: "We were called at 1.56pm on December 4 to reports of a road traffic collision in Field End Road.
One person was taken to Hillingdon Hospital, and confirmed one car and one fire engine had been involved in the collision, which happened near to the mini roundabout at the junction with Bridle Road.
The home fire station of the appliance is unknown.
