PARALYMPIC equestrian star Natasha Baker has been granted the freedom of the borough, following her double triumph at this year's Paralympic Games.
Miss Baker, 22, was invited to a special council meeting attended by all councillors at the Civic Centre, in High Street, Uxbridge, yesterday evening (Tuesday) to accept the prestigious honour, given in recognition of the "pride [her] sporting achievements had
brought to the people of Hillingdon."
The Cowley-based rider, who has an inflammation of the spine and limited use of her legs due to an illness when she was a baby, won golds and achieved record scores in the Grade II individual championship and freestyle dressage events at the Games in September.
A gold postbox to commemorate her success sits in High Street, Uxbridge.
