THE WOMAN involved in a collision with a car in Hayes town is recovering well.
The elderly pedestrian, understood to be in her 80s, was in a 'critical but stable' condition after the collision in Station Road, Hayes, on Monday afternoon, just after 2pm.
She suffered head injuries, and had to be airlifted to Royal London Hospital.
Police confirmed today (Wednesday) that the lady's condition had improved, and her injuries were no longer deemed to be life threatening.
The driver of the car stopped and was not arrested, but police want witnesses to the accident to come forward.
