HILLINGDON Council will again hold 'Waste Weekends' for people to dump their rubbish and drop off recycling.
The civic amenity site at the railway sidings, in Tavistock Road, West Drayton, will open for five weekends between now and next March.
The weekends, which were started after the closure of the waste disposal site in Rigby Lane, Hayes, in 2009, give south borough people a chance for a clearout at a site closer to where they live than the
council's household waste sites in South Ruislip and Harefield.
The Waste Weekend sessions will be from 9am-4pm on November 24-25, December 22-23, January 26-27 2013, February 23-24 and March 30-31.
Commercial vehicles and vans are not allowed at West Drayton, and trade waste will not be accepted.
For information about which site accepts which type of waste, go to www.hillingdon.gov.uk/recycling.
