POLICE officers and staff from Hillingdon have helped raise £6,000 for the North West Police Benevolent Fund by completing a 200-mile bike ride in memory of PCs Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police started the ride at Westminster Cathedral in London on Tuesday last week and called in at Hillingdon Police headquarters in Warwick Place, Uxbridge, before continuing their journey up to Buxton, Derbyshire, where they were joined by officers and staff from Greater Manchester Police.
Then the team of serving and retired officers and police staff continued on to the headquarters of Greater Manchester Police, for which the two officers served, arriving in Manchester today (Friday).
The ride was organised by staff of Hillingdon Police.
