TWO PEOPLE suspected of terrorist offences have been arrested at Heathrow.
Officers from the Met Police's Counter Terrorism Command arrested a man and a woman, both aged 26, at 8.30pm yesterday (Tuesday) on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.
The pair had flown into Heathrow from Egypt. Scotland Yard has said that the arrests form part of an investigation into travel to Syria in support of alleged terrorist activity.
Police have also searched two residential properties in east London in connection with their investigation.
The pair are in custody at a central London police station, and inquiries continue.
