AN EXPANDING family-owned bakery chain in north-west London has won industry recognition for the makeover of its website, stores, products and packaging.
Wenzel’s The Bakers won The Retail Innovation Award at the 25th Baking Industry Awards for the rebranding that began in August 2011.
The company has branches in Uxbridge High Street and The Mall Pavilions.
Its general manager, Sarah Wenzel, who collected the accolade from Australian pop star and actor Jason Donovan, said: “I’m delighted. We pride ourselves on our forward-thinking approach, have great confidence in our staff and our product, and are very passionate about our brand.
“It means a great deal to everyone in the company that their vision, hard work and achievements have been recognised.”
“The new look is streamlined and customer-focused, but holds faith with the company’s signature shade of orange, which has reassured existing customers that the past informs the present and future.”
