EDUCATION minister Michael Gove received a warm welcome during a fleeting visit to Guru Nanak Sikh Academy, in Springfield Road, Hayes.
Deputy headteacher Greg Hall said: “He engaged with the kids really well, and didn’t have any difficulty getting their interest.
“He would make a good teacher!”
He was given the grand tour on Friday last week, popping into primary and secondary classes.
He joined in with lessons and quizzed pupils about their ambitions, before the tables were turned and he fielded some questions from a sixth-form business studies class about his role in government and how the English Baccalaureate system will affect qualifications at the academy, which has specialist status in business and enterprise.
He was presentedwith a plaque commemorating his visit as a parting gift.
