POLICE officers have been raiding premises across the borough as part of the London-wide anti-drugs initiative, Operation Hawk.
Officers gathered at Hayes police station in Uxbridge Road at 10.30am on Thursday (September 20) before heading out to execute a series of search warrants.
A spokeswoman said that by 3.30pm, eight warrants had been executed, a cannabis factory in Uxbridge discovered with about 100 plants inside, and three separate seizures of cannabis made, with warnings issued to three people for possessing the drug.
Five people were arrested in total including in Uxbridge for alleged production of cannabis; in West Drayton for alleged possession of class A and class B drugs; and in Hayes, for possession of drugs with intent to supply.
Two vehicles were seized for having no insurance and there were numerous street searches of individuals.
Today (Friday) a police spokesman said that four of the arrested people had been charged and one was released without charge.
