A MUSICAL theatre group is urgently looking for a leading man to complete the cast of its next show.
The award-winning Players 2 are working on an adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s rock musical Whistle Down The Wind but still need someone to play the role of Amos, the rebellious principal male character in the mould of 1950s icon James Dean.
Director Tim Redman said: “I am not sure what the larger challenge is, casting this final part or working out how to bring a full-sized motorbike on to the stage.
“I am confident we will solve both conundrums and we are looking forward to a thrilling production.”
The role requires a strong singer who needs to be – or look – between 16 and 22 years old, who is prepared to perform three rock numbers, one while sitting on a Harley Davidson motorbike.
Rehearsals are held in Ruislip and Ickenham on Mondays, Thursdays and some Sundays.
