CHILDREN enjoyed some fun in the sun at their school’s summer fair on Saturday.
Pupils at Lady Bankes Junior School in Dawlish Drive, Ruislip, were excited by a giant electric car racing game, rides on a miniature railway track and a bouncy castle.
And musical entertainment was provided by the swing band from Vyners School in Warren Road, Hillingdon.
The fair, which raised £3,000, was the first held at the primary school in a number of years. It was organised by the Friends of Lady Bankes Association (FOLBA), made up of parents and friends of the school.
The chairman, Samantha Maddon, said: “We raised a fair amount of money, which will benefit the children, and couldn’t have asked for better weather.
“We haven’t had a summer fair on this scale for a very long time. Because we have been able to gain support from lots of the parents, we were finally able to put this on.
“In particular I want to say a special thank-you to Jolene Neagle and Joanne Bannister, who rallied a lot of support from other mums, dads and teachers.”
