brunel olympic torch relay
THE OLYMPIC torch's journey through Hillingdon went without a hitch, as thousands lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the historic flame.
Passing first through Hayes, and then going onto Uxbridge, the streets in the torch's wake were packed with people celebrating the Olympic tradition, and showing their patriotism with Union Jack colours everywhere to be seen.
Tee borough also welcomed celebrity guests - music stars Katy B and Mark Ronson, who teamed up for the Olympics anthem 'Anywhere To Be Seen', in partnership with Games sponsors Coca Cola, carried the torch at Brunel University, and former England cricketer Michael Vaughan took the final leg at Hillingdon Sports and Lesire Complex, in Gatting Way, before the flame was driven off to Denham, Buckinghamshire.
