The South Korean Olympic swimming squad, which is training all week at the Hillingdon Sports and Leisure Complex, took time out of its busy schedule on Saturday to pose for photographs with the younger members of the Ruislip Turtles Disabled Swimming club.
The Turtles swim at the centre, off Gatting Way, Uxbridge, on a Saturday evening, and as the two sessions overlapped, they had the chance to see the Koreans and their several potential medal winners in action and swim in the pool alongside them.
Maybe some of the young turtles will be inspired enough to be representing Team GB in future Paralympic games.
The Turtles have full use of the swimming facility at the complex and membership is open to anyone with a disability and their family for tuition, recreational or competitve swimming. The Turtles are always looking for new members so visit them on line at www.ruislipturtles.org.uk for more details.
