POLICE seized £150,000 worth of cannabis from a house in West Drayton on Wednesday.
Officers from Yiewsley safer neighbourhoods team raided an address in Yew Avenue at 4pm, responding to community concerns.
They discovered cannabis plants in almost every room including the loft, and were also able to seize a large amount of cultivating equipment.
It is estimated that there were approx 700 cannabis plants in various stages of growth in the property.
The value of these plants is estimated at around £150,000, and will be destroyed.
Utility companies were called to assist with making the property safe and also to deal with extraction of electricity.
At present no arrests have been made although police enquiries are continuing.
PC Wes Green of Yiewsley SNT said: "We thank the local residents for being vigilant in their neighbourhood and raising their concerns with us.
"This has led to a prompt action being taken and we are pleased that we have disrupted the supply of cannabis in our community.
"We are committed to improving the quality of life of our local people. Our residents are urged to report any drug activity or if they suspicious about premises in their neighbourhood. We will act upon it."
