POLICE are searching for two men wanted in connection with an unprovoked late-night stabbing on Uxbridge Road.
The knife victim and a friend had been at the Adam and Eve pub, Hayes, and left just before 2.30am on Saturday (22) morning.
The pair walked along the busy stretch towards Coldharbour Lane, when they were approached and attacked by two scruffy-looking men.
The victim, a 39 year-old man, was stabbed in the chest. He was taken to Hillingdon Hospital as a priority, and remains in a stable condition.
DCI Paul Beetham, investigating the case said: "We are appealing to the public for further information on this incident.
"It is likely that there have would have been cars driving by or someone may have heard a disturbance. If you witnessed anything suspicious around this area we urge you to contact us."
After the attack, the thugs ran off in the direction of Shakespeare Avenue.
Both men were in their late teens.
One of them was described as being mixed race, around 5'10 tall, with a London accent and scruffy torn jeans and a green hooded top.
The other was said to be Asian, of medium build and similar height to his partner in crime, and he was wearing a brown puffa jacket.
