Mount Vernon Hospital
A DRIVER had to be cut from his car after a crash involving four vehicles outside Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood last night (Sunday).
The collision, near to the iron bridge on Rickmansworth Road, involved a silver Peugeot 206, a silver Citroen Saxo, a silver Toyota Corolla and a black people carrier.
Emergency services raced to the scene at 6.30pm, including two ambulances and two fire engines from Ruislip and Harrow.
The fire crews released the driver, a man in his 40s, by cutting the roof of his car. He was taken to Watford General Hospital but is not believed to have suffered life threatening injuries.
Police closed Rickmansworth Road from the junctions with Hilliard Road and Addison Way, in Northwood Hills, at about 7pm, causing 'traffic chaos'. The road was later opened at about 7.25pm.
