Evidence that foxes do climb through windows

THIS dramatic shot of a fox peering in through a reader's bedroom is a stark reminder we can never take the behaviour of animals for granted.

Taken last summer, it shows the animal taking tentative steps into Aine Morrow's house. That image has stayed with the mother-of-one, and the recent stories about fox attacks have struck a chord.

Mrs Morrow, of Great Central Avenue, Ruislip, said: "We regularly have foxes coming into our garden and coming right up to the door.

"I always see them during the day and it always gives me a fright, I can't stand them.

"I will be hanging out my washing, turn around and see one just standing there - it scares the life out of me. As soon as the story about the attack on the babies broke, my mind was cast back to that picture, to be honest. It is any parent's worst nightmare.

Speaking about the amazing picture, she said: "My parents had come to visit, and I was at work at the time. My dad grabbed his phone and took the picture - he just couldn't believe it!

"I was heavily pregnant at the time and it totally horrified me.

"Interestingly enough, I have noticed that when a neighbour's cat visits our garden, I never see foxes and vice versa. I do not like cats at all, but I do get worried when I haven't seen them in a while!"
