First 2010 World Cup anthem performed by Hayes teacher

THE first ever performance of a World Cup song created by a swimming pool teacher from Hayes and Black Lace took place this week.

Neil Sullivan, aka DJ Neil Philips, visited the nightclub in Uxbridge High Street with Black Lace's Dene Michaels and Ian Robinson after watching England beat Egypt 3-1 at Wembley.

The song entitled 'We are the England fans' is sung to the tune of Music Man by Black Lace.

It can be downloaded from the iTunes store as of today (Friday) and all proceeds go to Help 4 Heroes.

Neil Sullivan said: "It went down a storm, the crowd loved it, around 700-800 people were watching, it went down really well."
