New Transport Secretary appointed in reshuffle

It has been announced that Patrick McLoughlin, former Chief Whip, will replace Justine Greening as Transport Secretary.

The announcement comes as this morning reshuffle begins to take shape.

There have been major changes at the Department for Transport which could lead to a change in policy for a third run way at Heathrow.

It could also have implications for HS2.

Justine Greening will move to Department for International Development.
