WHILE temperatures outdoors were the hottest this year, aspiring models sizzled at the finals of the Face of West London contest on Saturday.
The winners, and the new 'Faces of West London' were crowned at a day of intense competition and festivities at The Chimes in Uxbridge.
Selected as the winners were Ollie Mann from Ascot and Elizabeth Ogden, both 18, from Reading, who now have the opportunity to bag a lucrative modelling contract.
The pair were among 14 finalists, including Andrew Shanahan from Uxbridge and Josh Ambursley from Eastcote.
Karen Diamond, from the Models 1 agency and Face of West London judge said: "All of the finalists were fantastic but Ollie and Elizabeth had the edge over the others.
"Their catwalk poses were faultless and the crowd simply loved them. We just had to crown them the male and female Face of West London."
Students from Brunel University worked alongside organiser Sarah Grigg, as well as make up students from London make up school Greasepaint.
Michelle Moffitt, marketing manager for The Chimes Shopping Centre said "Face of West London has been an amazing success and congratulations to our winners! Id like to say a huge thank you to SG Events, our judges, photographer, choreographer and everyone who got involved and helped us pull the event together. The Chimes supports giving people opportunities and there is nothing more rewarding then seeing people shine. We are so impressed with the standard of all the finalists this year, its been a fantastic event."
