Excellent results but no gap year, to beat fees
Haydon School achieved 76 per cent of pupils obtaining A-C grade.
Pass percentage was 98, and average point score 204
Headteacher, Steve Robson, said: "We are extremely pleased with the results this year, as usual the vast majority have got their first choice.
"I don't know of anyone who has deferred their place and that is because they are trying to avoid the higher fees. Most students here do go on to university but whether that will remain I don't know."
One of the school's top performers was Stefan Constintine, 18 from Ruislip, who got an A* in geography and A in history and politics - earning him a place at Oxford. He said: "I'm absolutely chuffed, I'm over the moon. I can't wait."
Regardless of whether A-level results day brings joy or anxiety, students can find out what their options are to secure that university place by logging on to our website.
We will be hosting an interactive web chat with a UCAS advisor at noon and 6pm, and of course we will have all the A-level news and pictures from across the borough.
