Sporting and academic prowess
HAREFIELD Academy is toasting A-level results that show 100 per cent of its pupils achieving pass marks.
Exactly 50 per cent of students scored A*-C grades at the academy in Northwood Way, Harefield.
Leading the way was head girl, Katie Merson, who lives in Harefield and achieved two A* and two A grades.
Charlie-May Hallam-Flaherty and Niamg McGrath are also rejoicing their two A* grades.
Watford football club scholar Gregory Deer also achieved A* and A grades proving it is possible to combine sport with academic skills.
Lynn Gadd, principal, said: "We have enjoyed a very good year, and the improvement in the results is testament to our hard working and committed staff, students and parents.
"A very high percentage of our students have gained their places at university, which is just fantastic."
Regardless of whether A-level results day brings joy or anxiety, students can find out what their options are to secure that university place by logging on to our website.
We will be hosting an interactive web chat with a UCAS advisor at noon and 6pm, and of course we will have all the A-level news and pictures from across the borough.
