Little Leopards nursery in Hayes was trashed by burglars.
A NEWLY opened day nursery trashed by burglars who stole vital equipment is appealing for help from the public.
The Little Leopards Nursery, in Shakespeare Avenue, Hayes only opened its doors in January. It already has 14 children, aged three months to five years, registered.
But last month burglars broke in and made off with a TV, a laptop and a tricycle. They kicked open cupboards and threw paperwork and other items around.
“I was shocked that they stole things that the children play and have fun with,” said nursery manager Angela Jones. “We’ve only recently opened, as I wanted to give local mums somewhere they could take their children, so it’s heartbreaking that someone came in and took things that the kids really value.
“Now we have no laptop or TV, and that limits what we can do to keep the kids entertained. We rely on handouts, and we’d be grateful to anyone who could donate toys or anything else.”
